For all those who asked how I built my cajon... look at this model carefully (made with AutoCAD 2011 by the way).
Measures really don't matter, it all depends on what sound you want. Top, bottom, left and right panels are 10mm thick. Front and rear panels are 3mm plywood. There are two coiled springs behind the front panel, producing the snare sound. There is a sliding panel to change the size of the hole. The rest should be clear from the animated model.
